Go Forth To All
Today Is The Day Of Salvation - Begin A New Life With Jesus
Matthew 28:19–20 contains what has come to be called the Great Commission:
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Jesus gave this command to the apostles shortly before He ascended into heaven, and it essentially outlines what Jesus expected the apostles and those who followed them to do in His absence.
The Great Commission Meaning For Us Today
God has placed you in a unique place to make an impact on someone in a way that no one else can. He wants to use YOU if you will allow Him. Today - “Say something about Jesus.” I encourage you throughout your week to have Gospel conversations — or to “say something about Jesus.”
Anything you are doing to proclaim Christ and to live out the gospel of Christ in the midst of another person is part of living out the Great Commission.
Gospel - "Good News"
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures"
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)
The Gospel to be received, believed, and preached today has 5 major points:
(1) how that Christ died (blood shed)
(2) for our sins
(3) was buried
(4) rose again
(5) according to the scriptures
(Word of God).
Through Christ’s death came the shedding of blood. And without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins, and only by the blood of Christ can we be reconciled and receive the atonement, expiation (cancelling out) of sins.
9. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Romans 5:9-11 (KJV).
Believe in Your Heart
1. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Jesus - the son of God always existed. He's the second person of the Trinity. (The persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Jesus laid down his glory to be born of a virgin, wrapped in flesh. He lived a perfect life, never sinned and shed his precious blood on the cross at Calvary to pay the debt for our sins once and for all.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him". (KJV)
2. Believe that my sinfulness has separated
me from God. I cannot save myself.

We live in a fallen world. However, God loves you and wants you to experience the peace and life He offers. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". John 3:16 (KJV) He has a plan for you.
Our Problem is there is separation from God. By our sin nature, we are all separated from God. The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23 (KJV)
He is holy, but we are human and don't measure up to His perfect standard. We are sinful and the Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 (KJV).
3. Believe that Jesus Christ was crucified, buried,
and resurrected from the grave on the third day according
to the Word of God

God's love bridges the separation between you and Him. When Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for your sins. The Bible says, "Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." 1 Peter 2:24 (KJV).
What's next? You cross the bridge into God's family when you accept Christ's FREE gift of Salvation. The Bible says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:" John 1:12 (KJV)
ABC's of SALVATION
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
ADMIT YOU ARE A SINNER IN NEED OF A SAVIOR. Change your mind about the righteous and Holy God. This is call metanoia. Metanoia is a Greek word meaning a change of mind or "a transformative change of heart," often associated with spiritual conversion. God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out.
BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS, WAS BURIED, AND THAT GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. This is trusting with all of your heart and having faith Jesus Christ.
CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD. Bible says,
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 (KJV)
(A sample prayer - make it your own from your heart)
Dear Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I believe that you are the Son of God, you came down and lived a perfect life. You died on the cross and shed your blood for my sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. I ask for your forgiveness of my sins. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior today. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Amen.
Now, get a Bible, start reading in the Book of John and learn who Jesus IS. Build your relationship with Jesus each day by reading your bible, praying, and spending quiet time with HIM.
"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1:13-14 (NKJV).
After you hear the Gospel, in which you believe and trust in Jesus Christ, the Word of God declares you to be saved. You will be sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day redemption.
